Mortgage Application Volume Down Across The Board

Home loan application volume declined 1.4 percent last week compared to the prior week, according to the Mortgage Bankers Association.
The MBA's refinance index declined 0.9 percent in its third consecutive weekly decline. Applications to refinance made up 81.1 percent of all home loan application volume during the week.
The purchase index slid 3.3 percent.
Average contract interest rates for 30-year loans hit 4.44 percent compared to 4.47 percent a week earlier.
