Mortgage Activity Climbs

Mortgage activity ticked up about 2.7 percent last week, according to the Mortgage Bankers Association.
The four-week moving average for mortgage activity is up 2.5 percent.
Refinancing activity continues to make up a large portion of overall activity, remaining steady last week at 66.4 percent.
The average rate for a 30-year fixed-rate mortgage sat at 4.8 percent last week, up from 4.79 percent the week before.
