Morgan Hired For Korea Wire Plant Project

Morgan Construction, a Siemens VAI business, has been hired as a subcontractor on a project to build a new production line for the oldest cable manufacturer in Korea.

Worcester-based Morgan was hired by the Southwire Co. of Carrollton, Ga., to supply a copper rod rolling mill and other equipment.

Southwire and Morgan have a 30-year relationship. In Korea, the rolling mill will be part of a plant construction project for Taihan Electric Wire Co. Ltd. in Seoul.

Taihan was established in 1955 and was the first wire and cable manufacturer established in Korea. The company makes power transmission cables for the Asian market.
