The days of the faceless, here today-gone tomorrow secretary may be numbered, according to the results of a recent OfficeTeam survey.
OfficeTeam asked senior executives how the responsibilities of administrative assistants have changed in the last five years and 50 percent said administrative assistant responsibilities have increased somewhat. Another 23 percent said responsibilities have increased significantly.
When asked if administrative assistants have more or less career growth prospects than five years ago, 57 percent of executives said administrative assistants have more of a career growth track. Another 25 percent said job growth prospects for administrative assistants were about the same as it was five years ago.
