Hiring temporary employees, once seen as a way to quickly fill company vacancies, has become part of many companies’ long-term strategies, according to results of an OfficeTeam survey. According to the survey, 71 percent of company executives said they included temporary staff in their long-term budget. The question was asked of 150 executives at 1,000 large companies. OfficeTeam, a temporary administrative staffing agency, reports that companies are hiring more and more high-level temporary employees to handle specific projects.
