Monster, the Maynard-based online career resource database, and the Akron Beacon Journal announced an alliance offering online and offline recruitment services to employers and job seekers across northeast Ohio.
The Akron Beacon Journal, a daily newspaper read by more than 286,000 weekly readers, will incorporate Monster's services into both their print edition and the paper's website, Ohio.com, which covers the greater Cleveland market. Starting in mid-November, Ohio residents will have access to all of Monster's resources for job seekers and employers. The news comes on the heels of Monster's announcement earlier this year when Monster teamed with Philadelphia Media Holdings, owner of the Philidelphia Inquirer, Philidephia Daily News and the associated website, philly.com.
In the case of the Philidelphia publications, the newly co-branded website philly.com/monster recorded a 25 percent increase in page views in September of 2006 on philly.com's career section compared to the same time in 2005.
