Moldflow Corp. in Framingham has received accreditation for its Plastics Labs testing facility in Ithaca, NY from the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA).
Moldflow, which designs and manufactures products for the plastics injection molding industry, received the accreditation for the Ithaca site’s technical competence in the field of mechanical testing and operation of a laboratory quality management system. Moldflow Plastics Labs specializes in material testing for computer aided engineering (CAE) analysis and provides material testing services.
The A2LA accreditation validates nine different mechanical property tests, and helps to assure customers of accurate results, said Peter Unger, president of A2LA.Â
