Over the past year, the Martin Luther King Jr. Business Empowerment Center in Worcester has placed 20 applicants in “livable wage” jobs, helped 477 business clients and secured more than $265,000 in business loans and financing, the center announced in a year-end letter.
The center supports entrepreneurs and provides job training and other services to local workers. Over the past 13 years, the center said, it has assisted more than 3,721 small businesses, found jobs for more than 808 people and won $6,426,599 in loans and financing.
