MIT: Incoming MBA Students Remain Optimistic

Despite months of turmoil in business sectors filled with MBAs, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Sloan School of Management says its incoming MBA students are upbeat about the future.

The school said many of its incoming MBA candidates are focused on careers in nonprofit and economic development organizations.

Others consider now a good time to acquire managerial skills to go along with their backgrounds in technology and other sectors.

Incoming students also said recent economic turmoil and the controversies that accompanied it will force business schools to reevaluate their curriculums in order to improve the value of the MBA degree.
