Acton-based Mintera Corp. appointed Niall Robinson as vice president of Product Marketing. Mintera develops software allowing service providers to upgrade their products to 40 gigabits per second (Gbps) technology. Robinson will help the company introduce new technology to the marketplace.
Robinson most recently served as vice president of marketing at Optovia Corp. in Acton, where he was responsible for the market development of Optovia’s amplifier portfolio. He also served as director Photonic Systems Integration and Product Management at Qtera, a company acquired by Nortel Networks in ’99. Prior to that position, Robinson was part of the network architecture team at MCI WorldCom.
Earlier this month, Mintera raised $10 million of venture capital co-led by investors Polaris Venture Partners and RRE Ventures.
