A worker Photo | Courtesy of Trelleborg The new report about the unemployment insurance trust fund's financial health again forecasts the state will continue to pay out more in jobless benefits than it collects from insurers to cover those costs, and the anticipated gap grew in the latest round of calculations.

Trelleborg Healthcare and Medical of Minnesota, a subsidiary of engineering giant Trelleborg AB of Sweden, will expand its manufacturing facility and BioPharma Center of Excellence in Northborough.

The expansion at 10A Forbes Road will take place in three phases with the first beginning in January and is expected to create at least 50 new jobs, according to a Monday press release.

“The site will expand our manufacturing capacities of Class 7 and 8 cleanrooms by 25,000 square feet to meet the market’s growing demand for biopharmaceutical applications, such as silicone tubing and hose, assemblies, and other integrated solutions,” Linda Muroski, president of Trelleborg Healthcare and Medical, said in the press release.

Trelleborg supplies tubing, seals and other products to equipment manufacturers and pharmaceutical companies.
