A shopping center on Prospect Street in Milford has been bought for $3 million by a limited liability firm connected to a Hopedale construction company.
LF Prospect Retail LLC, the buyer, is registered to Kevin Lobisser and Joe Ferreira, the partners for Lobisser Ferreira Construction Corp. The firm's projects include the Unique Smile Dental Associates building at 21 Main St. in Milford and Village at Cooks Farm, a housing development in Franklin.
Lobisser started Lobisser Building Corp. in 1996, and Ferreira founded Seaside Building in 2007. In 2010, they merged to establish Lobisser Ferreira Construction Corp.
The firm bought Hill Plaza at 92-104 Prospect St. from Lawrence Hill Jr. and the M. Hill Cos. The deal closed Feb. 12.
The plaza includes a Subway, Kaplansky Insurance, Garden Pizza, Pretty Nail & Spa, and Spin City, a laundromat. It formerly included a Rite Aid pharmacy store.
Lawrence Hill Jr. and the M. Hill Cos. paid nearly $3.5 million for the site in 1995, according to town property records. The two-acre site was last assessed by the Town of Milford at just under $1.8 million.
