Milford Regional Medical Center’s November gala raised $1.2 million, a record figure for the hospital’s main fundraising event, which included a high level of sponsorship from its potential new partner: UMass Memorial Health.
Called the Mélange Gala, the event was hosted on Nov. 11 and had approximately 400 attendees from the Milford and medical communities, according to a Monday press release from the hospital. The gala is Milford Regional’s signature fundraising event and was started in 2005.
“I can’t emphasize enough the tremendous impact the Mélange Gala and Live Auction continues to have on our hospital year after year,” Milford Regional President and CEO Edward Kelly said in the press release.
The funds raised from the annual gala are used to support critical hospital needs.
The 2023 gala featured a live auction and other fundraising components. The black-tie event was hosted at The Park Sports Center in Milford.
Sponsors commit up to $25,000 each to reach the Hero sponsorship threshold. Sponsors at that level include Green Site Services Group in Franklin, Imperial Cars in Mendon, Kevin and Leslie Lobisser Family Foundation, and UMass Memorial Health in Worcester.
In September, Milford Regional and UMass Memorial announced plans to explore a potential affiliation with one another.
