Officials with Milford Regional Medical Center announced Monday night plans for a $40 million expansion of the hospital.
Details are still being developed, but hospital spokesperson Terri McDonald confirmed that the hospital hopes to expand its campus by 50,000 to 60,000 square feet to house an expanded intensive care unit, emergency room and additional hospital beds.
Construction of the expansion may not begin for another two years, she said.
