A Milford firm that nearly three years ago bought a key undeveloped site on Route 9 in Westborough has now bought an adjacent property for more than $4 million.
Combined, the two sites include nearly 10 acres of land next to the intersection of Route 9 and Route 135 (Milk Street), across from Westmeadow Plaza, a shopping center including Ocean State Job Lot, Tractor Supply Co. and others.
Fafard Commercial, a Milford real estate firm marketing the initial Route 9 site, wouldn't confirm on Thursday that it's the new owner of 161 Milk St. The site was bought Dec. 23 by a limited liability corporation with Fafard's address in Milford. That LLC is registered to Howard Fafard and Richard Terrill, according to the Massachusetts Secretary of the Commonwealth.
The 161 Milk St. site totals nearly four acres, includes a 20,000-square-foot warehouse building, and was last assessed by the Town of Westborough at $674,600.
A limited liability corporation registered to the same pair bought the adjacent 220 Turnpike Road, which fronts Route 9, in 2017 for $3.1 million. That site, which is vacant, was last assessed at $1.1 million.
