Over the weekend, Firematic Supply Co. of Milford undertook a $4-million, station-by-station switch out to new respiratory protective equipment for the Boston Fire Department.
The equipment from Pittsburgh-based MSA Safety Inc., which announced the switch over. Firematic is MSA’s distribution partner responsible for servicing the $4-million contract.
The MSA G1 SCBA breathing apparatus represents the flagship product from MSA and was selected as the Boston fire department works to reduce incidents of cancer among firefighters, according to MSA.
