A nine-acre site eyed for an expansion by Milford medical cannabis cultivator and seller Sira Naturals has sold for $5 million to a firm registered in New York.
The property, at 5-7 Industrial Road, is planned for a new cultivation center to support Sira Naturals' retail stores. It stands a short walk from Sira Naturals' existing facility at 13 Commercial Way, and is next door to a Milford Regional Medical Center outpatient medical office and an Amazon distribution warehouse.
Sira Naturals has medical-use operations in Somerville and Needham, which opened in 2017 and 2018, respectively. It also has a Cambridge location that's temporarily closed.
Sira Naturals couldn't immediately be reached for comment on the sale and the site's plans.
The buyer of the Milford site is Parker Real Estate, which is registered to an address in New York City. The seller was Corner Brook LLC, a firm registered to the address of Hillview Equipment and Leasing, a firm based next to Sira Naturals on Commercial Way that also owns Sira Naturals' property next door. Corner Brook continues to own another nine-acre site adjacent to the Industrial Road property.
The sale closed Dec. 23. The site at 5-7 Industrial Road was last assessed by the Town of Milford at $520,500.
