Middlesex savings distributes $325K in grants

Middlesex Savings Charitable Foundation has given $325,500 to 20 area nonprofit organizations.

The nonprofit, private charitable foundation established by Middlesex Savings Bank, announced its first cycle of 2016 grant awards on Wednesday. Six organizations are first-time Foundation grant recipients – Concord Conservatory of Music, Emerson Hospital, Family Promise MetroWest, Friends of the Callahan Senior Center, Hoops and Homework, and The League School of Greater Boston.

Local recipients include the Natick Community Organic Farm, Westborough’s Center for Women & Enterprise Central Mass, and Framingham’s Hoops and Homework.Since its inception, the Foundation has provided more than $4 million in grants to more than 400 nonprofits.
