The MetroWest Chamber of Commerce in Framingham has hired Paul Joseph, chairman of the Natick Economic Development Committee, as its next president and CEO.
Joseph, the founder and CEO of business consulting firm Contexed LLC, will begin his new job Sept. 14, according to a statement issued Wednesday afternoon. Joseph succeeds Bonnie Biocchi, who left the chamber last month to take a business development job at Habitat for Humaniy Central Mass/MetroWest.
Joseph has more than 20 years of management consulting and operating experience, specializing in go-to-market and business growth strategies. He served on Natick’s board of selectmen for three years, and has strong business ties through his position as chairman of the Economic Development Committee, a post he’s held for six years, according to the chamber.
“Paul’s experience in both the public and private sectors made him the clear choice for our new president and CEO,” Lemonia Mironidis, chair of the chamber’s board of directors, said in a statement. “We have a vision which Paul will help us continue to work to make a reality. We will remain focused on making an impact on the region as an advocate for the businesses and communities we serve.”
The MetroWest Chamber of Commerce represents about 700 businesses in Ashland, Framingham, Holliston, Hopkinton, Natick, Sherborn, Southborough, Sudbury, Wayland and Westborough. Joseph said he looks forward to building on Biocchi’s successes during her five-year tenure.
“I will be working closely with the MetroWest business community, and collaborating with local organizations and officials to further develop the MetroWest brand and make this an ideal region to locate and grow businesses of all kinds,” Joseph said.
