Medbox Demonstrates Marijuana Dispensary Systems

Medbox Inc., a California company that sells biometric medical dispensing and storage equipment, has released demonstration videos on its website showing how its medical dispensaries work.

The two video clips demonstrate how the software provides patient details so patients can access their prescriptions at dispensaries, and how the dispensaries themselves operate.

Medbox, which has offices in Natick, sells most of its dispensary systems to medical marijuana dispensaries.

Demonstration videos were needed due to an "outpouring of media requests regarding the dispensaries the company is establishing for its new and existing consulting clients in San Diego," according to a statement by Medbox.

Following the passage of a law legalizing medical marijuana in the fall, Massachusetts will issue licenses to 35 dispensaries – a new market Medbox plans to capitalize on.
