Leadership behind cannabis testing company MCR Labs, of Framingham, has launched a spinoff consulting and process development firm aimed at helping cannabis companies navigate administrative and business development projects, according to a Thursday announcement.
The firm, Phase 4 Services, was launched by MCR Labs President and Founder Michael Kahn, and officially incorporated in April. While it does not currently have a physical office, its technical headquarters are in Framingham.
Phase 4 will concern itself with helping clients focus on the testing aspect of their business by providing support in navigating administrative needs like accounting, marketing and other internal processes. The company will serve labs working on both cannabis and hemp testing, including cannabis for both medical and adult-use markets, said MCR public relations manager Joe Crinkley.
Company leadership is still being assembled, although directors from MCR Labs are expected to be named to Phase 4’s c-suite, according to Crinkley.
The announcement of Phase 4’s launch comes just two weeks after MCR Labs announced it was opening its first out-of-state location, in Pennsylvania.
