Mattress Firm is the latest retailer to sign onto the 645,700-square-foot Northborough Crossing shopping plaza.
The mattress retailer will open a store in the lower level this fall, kicking off a series of new retailers set to announce leases in the same plaza in the coming weeks, according to Southborough-based Capital Group Properties, the plaza’s operator.
The retailer will join Wegmans, BJ’s Wholesale Club, T.J. Maxx, Homesense, Kohl's and other retailers, restaurants, medical offices and the Avalon luxury apartments.
The Texas-based Mattress Firm already has several Central Massachusetts locations, including in Worcester, Ware, Sturbridge, Milford, Franklin, Leominster, Marlborough, Hudson, Natick, Sudbury and Acton.
The company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy last fall and closed about 660 stores, including in Wayland, Foxborough, Fairhaven, Westford, Northampton and Newton.
