Mathworks Sponsors Genetic Engineering Contest

The Mathworks of Natick is acting as the lead sponsor of the International Genetically Engineered Machine 2008 student competition held at MIT in Cambridge.
The months-long competition brought together 84 undergraduate college teams with a total of more than 1,000 students from 21 countries. The Mathworks has given teams some of its software tools and training.
This year the company also created an award for the team that most effectively uses modeling within its project.
The winners of the competition will be announced this weekend during the iGEM Jamboree at MIT.
