The Massachusetts Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MassMEP) is offering a workshop for small to mid-size companies pursuing International Organization for Standardization (ISO) certification.
The Worcester-based organization, which assists manufacturing companies with business development, will provide ISO training under the new MEP ISO Collaborative, according to a statement by MassMEP. The Associated Industries of Massachusetts, an association group for Massachusetts employers, will partner with MassMEP on the new venture.
Jack Healy, director of operations at MassMEP, said ISO compliance has become a required credential for doing business with large companies worldwide, but it's a "major undertaking, both in terms of human and financial resources."
The MEP ISO Collaborative will provide training in a classroom setting, and with on-site consultation visits for companies that need to comply with the ISO, according to MassMEP. An information session is scheduled for April 16 at 10 a.m.
