Roughly 70 acres of land along Lackey Dam Road, and sprawling through Uxbridge, Sutton, and Douglas, have been sold for $5 million to Indianapolis real estate firm Scannell Properties, according to the Worcester South District Registry of Deeds.
The property was sold by Mary Bedoian of Douglas and Barbara Chaiko of Southampton, Pa., per the deed. The sale closed Sept. 1.
In a letter from Worcester law office Fletcher Tilton to the planning boards of Uxbridge, Sutton, and Douglas, attorney Mark Donahue said Scannell Properties plans to construct a 646,000-square-foot warehouse and distribution facility on the 70-acre parcel. The letter was written in December 2020.
In planning board agendas from both Douglas and Sutton as recent as March, the location of the warehouse is noted as 40 and 100 Lackey Dam Road
A posting on realty company Avison Young’s website for 100 Lackey Dam Rd. in Douglas is listed as Blackstone Technology Park. It includes a 979,500-square-foot building to be used for distribution, advanced manufacturing, research and development, lab, or biomanufacturing space, per the listing.
As of 2017, Mary Bedoian became the personal representative of the estate of Michael Bedoian, who died in 2015, according to an affidavit. Along with several other parcels, the estate included 100 Lackey Dam Road in Uxbridge. In 2017, the Town of Uxbridge assessed the property at just under $300,000, which included a home built in 1950.
Scannell Properties has offices internationally and across the country, including in Boston.
