MassHousing Consolidates Rental Web Sites
The Massachusetts Housing Finance Agency, MassHousing, has launched a new web site intended to make dealing with the agency easier for rental housing owners, managers, developers and others.
The site is called masshousingrental.com and it consolidates information that was once spread across four separate agency web sites. The new site was developed in partnership with the Rental Housing Association, which represents apartment owners and managers.
MassHousing said that as a lender, it wanted to make sure that developers could do business online. As a regulator, it wanted to make compliance with housing regulations easier for owners.
MassHousing lends money for the creation of affordable rental housing and provides administrative oversight for more than 400 apartment complexes on behalf of the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development.
