The Massachusetts Alliance for Economic Development is welcoming more than a dozen new businesses to the state during a program tonight, including two firms from Central Massachusetts.
State Secretary of Housing and Economic Development Greg Bialecki is the keynote speaker at the MassEcon function in Boston, which will recognize companies that have recently moved to the commonwealth.
Nemucore Medical Innovations, which is leasing incubator space from the Massachusetts Biomedical Initiatives in Worcester, and Sunovion Pharmaceuticals, which purchased Marlborough’s Sepracor last year, will be recognized.
Nemucore specializes in nanotechnology-based cancer treatments while Sunovion manufactures pharmaceuticals.
