The Innovation Institute at the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative and Lever announced the second round of its COVID-19 Intrapreneur Challenge, this timed aimed at identifying and mentoring Mass. companies interested in developing products or services to support Phase Two of the state’s reopening plan, the groups announced this week.
The second round, which opened on Monday, will be open to submissions until Friday, July 10, with finalists selected by July 17. This challenge builds on the first challenge, which launched in early June.
Managed by Lever of North Adams, the second Intrapreneur Challenge will select Mass. companies to participate in a five-week accelerator aimed at helping them expand commercial development for products and services supporting Phase Two. Specifically, the program is looking for companies interested in manufacturing products that focus on sanitation, safety, touchless payment or technologies that monitor and promote social distancing, according to a press release.
The challenges are funded through a $250,000 grant from the Innovation Institute at the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative, the same state agency that manages the Massachusetts Manufacturing Emergency Response team.
Participants must be based in Mass., have been in business for at least two years and have annual revenues greater than $250,000 a year. Those interested in applying should visit the Intrapreneur Challenge website.
