Mass. Realtors' Confidence Still Rising

Two indices tracked by the Massachusetts Association of Realtors (MAR) continued a trend of hitting all-time highs in April.

Marking the fourth consecutive month of record highs, the Realtor Market Confidence Index reached 79.14, up 41 percent from its April 2012 score of 56.31 on a 100-point scale of which 50 is the midpoint between strong and weak market conditions. It was the 21st consecutive month of year-over-year increases. The index was up 5 percent from March.

Meanwhile, the Realtor Price Confidence Index, measuring Realtor expectations of home prices over the next year, was 81.47 in April, marking the first time it broke 80. The index was up 36 percent over last year and saw its 15th consecutive month of year-over-year increases. It was up 4 percent over March.
