The state’s Realtors group said year-over-year confidence among its members in market activity and prices continued to grow in September.
The Massachusetts Association of Realtors (MAR) said market confidence advanced for the 26th straight month, to 62.91 on 0-to-100-point scale. But confidence fell from a 69.26 reading in August. Â
The group’s price confidence index also rose year over year, to 70.27, marking the 20th consecutive month of advances. But that reading was also down slightly – about 5 percent – from August.
While lauding the gains, the MAR cited concerns over recent changes to the national flood insurance program, as well as the then-threat of a partial government shutdown and talks in Washington over the federal debt ceiling.
