Mass. Promotes Tourism on Facebook

The Massachusetts Office of Travel & Tourism (MOTT) launched a promotional program on its Facebook page aimed at boosting the state’s $15.1-billion tourism industry.

Facebook users who follow the ‘Visit Massachusetts’ page by clicking “Like” will become eligible this week to win free passes to attractions such as Duck Tours, museums and hotel stays in Boston, to Six Flags in Agawam, to the Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield and to a film festival on Martha’s Vineyard.

MOTT will also be launching an iPhone application, according to its Facebook page.
