The second phase of a new tax system portal will open for business taxpayers in Massachusetts on November 30, according to the Department of Revenue.
MassTaxConnect will replace the 14-year-old WebFile for Business, and individual income taxpayers will be included in the system by the end of 2017. According to the DOR, the new system will include new features such as the inclusion of all tax types, electronic delegation for third party access and secure e-messaging. TaxpayerS will be able to use their current WebFile for Business login information to access the new system, which was developed by FAST Enterprises.
"It's about providing taxpayers with secure, easily navigable, self-directed access to their tax information whenever they need it," Revenue Commissioner Mark Nunnelly said in a statement Tuesday announcing an upgrade that the state says will affect 250,000 business taxpayers.
