Catskill Mountain Wind Management Inc. in New York has agreed to purchase $1 million worth of wind turbine units from Worcester-based Mass MegaWatts Wind Power Inc.
The units will be placed across New York.
The two companies had been working together on a test project in Hunter, N.Y., which Mass MegaWatts announced last week has been successful in increasing wind velocities. That test program supplied power to the town’s water remediation facility and the Greene County Industrial Development Authority.
Now, Catskill Mountain has agreed to purchase additional demonstration units of the system to be placed in various sites.
