Mass Megawatts Makes $1.1M Pennsylvania Sale

Mass Megawatts Wind Power Inc. of Worcester has sold a 550 kW wind power project priced at $1.1 million to a Pennsylvania company.

The buyer, Electric City Wind Power Corp. of Pittson, Pa., said it is in discussions with resorts, colleges and municipalities in Pennsylvania about building the turbines. It said it chose Mass Megawatts for the project because its technology can be economically competitive with fossil fuels and its turbines are relatively low-profile, making them more appealing to communities that want to avoid 200- to 400-foot towers.
