Worcester-based Mass Megawatts Windpower Inc. announced it has begun testing its newest wind turbine product in New York.
The project, in Hunter, N.Y., uses the company’s multiaxis turbosystem, which uses multiple blades placed on a rectangular structure to collect wind power that is converted to energy.
The product also uses a wind augmenter and wind diverter technologies, which help funnel wind into the blades and helps reduce drag on the blades.
According to financial filings, the company lost $313,095 in the six months ending in November, compared to a net loss of $363,966 during the same time last year.
