Pending home sales in Massachusetts increased more than 7 percent from August 2010 to August 2011, according to the latest report from the Massachusetts Association of Realtors.
The number of single-family homes put under agreement for sale totaled 4,411 last month, up from 4,117 during the same month last year. August’s increase is the fourth consecutive year-over-year gain in pending home sales.
Pending condo sales were also up, increasing 11 percent year over year.
