Similar to the previous week, Massachusetts gasoline prices this week are steady at $2.76 per gallon of regular unleaded, according to travel association AAA Northeast.
“These are positive signs that less expensive gas prices could be around the corner, but not enough to indicate a steady trend just yet.” says Mary Maguire, AAA Northeast director of public and government affairs.
The price stagnation comes after nearly two months of drastic increases. A month ago, prices stood at $2.64 a gallon, with a 12 cent increase since then, and $2.11 a year ago, garnering a 65 cent increase since last year.
