Gasoline prices in Massachusetts continue to drop, having fallen 10 cents since last week, according to AAA Southern New England.
A Dec. 15 survey by AAA found that self-serve, regular unleaded gasoline averaged $2.68 per gallon across the state, a 25 cent drop from the previous month. A year ago at this time the Massachusetts average price was 75 cents higher at $3.43, according to AAA.
The price in Massachusetts remains 15 cents above the national average. There is also variation throughout the state, according to AAA, with prices ranging from a low of $2.48 to a high of $3.09.
In November, Massachusetts gasoline prices fell below $3 for the first time since December of 2010, according to AAA.
