The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Massachusetts rose by a penny over the past week to $3.759, according to AAA Southern New England.
It was the fourth straight week of price increases since the summer’s low point in early July, when the price hit $3.619.
The current price is 6 cents more than the national average of $3.70. A year ago, the Massachusetts average was $2.66.
