Mass. gas down another 4 cents

Massachusetts gasoline prices are down another 4 cents this week, according to AAA Northeast.

The nonprofit vehicle assistance agency reported a Monday survey of prices in Massachusetts found self-serve, regular unleaded cost an average of $2.45, two cents below the national average of $2.47 and four cents below last week’s $2.49.

The price has fallen 25 cents since a post-hurricane spike in September when Hurricane Harvey wreaked havoc on the Gulf of Mexico and parts of Texas, taking some oil refineries offline.

In September, prices spiked 44 cents to $2.70 a gallon.

AAA has said prices will continue to fall has oil operations resume normally.
