Single-family home and condo prices both rose significantly in March, as did the number of sales, according to data from the Massachusetts Association of Realtors Wednesday.
Prices of single-family homes rose by nearly 7 percent over the prior year to $350,000, according to the association. Condo prices rose by more than 8 percent to an average of $335,000.
The number of sales rose sharply, too.
The number of pending sales of single-family homes rose by nearly 7 percent and condos sold at a nearly 15-percent better rate than a year ago.
Pending sales have risen in 48 of the past 49 months, the Massachusetts Association of Realtors said.
Confidence among real estate agents is up accordingly.
The Realtor Market Confidence Index rose by 8 percent to 78 on a zero to 100 scale. The Realtor Price Confidence Index rose by 9 percent to 81, the first time it climbed past 80 since 2015.
