Previous job: Assistant store manager, TD Bank
Q: How are you settling in at your new office?
A: I am settling well in my new position and I have been doing a lot of outreach in the Milford community, such as partnering with the Milford library's summer reading program. At TD Bank, we launch an annual summer reading program that encourages kids to read and teaches them about saving money by contributing $10 into a new or existing young savers' account for each child who reads 10 books throughout the summer. At TD Bank, we believe that reading and financial literacy are key for future education and economic success.
Q: What challenges do you see in your new position?
A: One of the biggest challenges of my new role is communicating to the residents of Milford that TD Bank is ready to lend when they are ready to borrow. TD Bank has increased its lending by 25 percent since the economic downturn started in December 2007. The residents of Milford should know that TD Bank's lending professionals are local bankers making local loans and lending decisions, and they establish customer relationships focusing on service and the delivery of individualized financing solutions.
Q: How far is your commute to the office?
A: My commute takes about 15-20 minutes in the morning and I am lucky that I live three miles from TD Bank's Milford store.
Q: What's the best way to keep your energy and motivation up when you're having a long day?
A: My motivation is my team. We all love to talk and laugh with our customers. Our customers love the interaction and enjoy visiting our store. As a pet-friendly bank, we also welcome our customers' four-legged friends.
Q: Where's the best place to get lunch near your new location?
A: One of my favorite restaurants in Milford for lunch is Prezzo.
Q: Do you have any hobbies outside of work?
A: My hobbies include cooking, reading and learning about American presidential history.
Q: What's on your to-do list for the next couple of days?
A: My to-do list for the next couple of days includes prospecting for our Bank-at-Work program and continuing to meet with Milford's residents and local merchants.
