Marlborough technology firm ComputerVault is moving into a new headquarters at 1 Mercantile Street in Worcester.
ComputerVault is leaving its Boston Post Road location in Marlborough and will open its new 5,600-square-foot location during a Feb. 23 ribbon cutting ceremony, according to a Tuesday press release.
The location was previously used as office space by the insurance company, Unum.
ComputerVault signed an eight-year lease at the Mercantile location and needs the extra space to accommodate plans to hire 50 new employees this year. The tech company specializes in cybersecurity for virtual workspaces.
“ComputerVault is pleased to now call Worcester home, and to deepen our connection with our neighbors and this great community we all share. Both downtown Worcester and ComputerVault are quickly growing, and this new location positions us well for our next chapter of growth,” said Marc Zarrella, vice president, head of Revenue and Partnerships at ComputerVault.
The ceremony will feature Worcester City Manager Edward Augustus, Worcester Mayor Joseph Petty, Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Timothy Murray, Worcester Business Development Corp. President and CEO Craig Blais, and Mercantile Center Managing Director Chip Norton.
CORRECTION: A previous edition of this article listed the new ComputerVault headquarters as Mercantile Center. That information is incorrect. ComputerVault has moved to 1 Mercantile Street.
