Content security company Content Raven of Marlborough has secured more than $2 million in venture funding led by a Boston-based, early-stage venture capital firm.
The investor, MassVentures, said it spearheaded the Series A funding round with the help of MassDevelopment, the state’s finance and development agency. The other investors include leading New England angel investor firms Angel Investor Forum, LaunchPad, Hub Angels, East Coast Angels, Beta Fund and SideCar Angels.
The investment in Content Raven is the first made through Commonwealth Fund III, a partnership between MassVentures and MassDevelopment’s Emerging Technology Fund, according to a statement from MassVentures.
“It’s an exciting time to be part of the vibrant tech economy here in Massachusetts,” said Content raven CEO Ron Matros. “We can now focus on growing our product offerings and broadening our position in the market.”
