The Embassy Suites hotel in Marlborough has finished an 18-month, $16-million renovation.
The 230-room hotel, which opened in 1988, now has a new restaurant, Stone 31 Bar + Kitchen, its name a take on the mile marker on Boston Post Road (Route 20) that indicated to travelers how far they were from Boston on what was then the major route to and from New York.
Among other changes are a new indoor pool, a new patio with a year-round fire pit, a new market with beverages and snacks, including beer and wine. All guest rooms were redesigned, along with 3,500 square feet of meeting space.
An event marking the completion of the renovations was held Wednesday.
The hotel, which is part of the Hilton company, is located on Route 20 next to the Hannaford-anchored R.K. Center shopping plaza and across the street from the Apex Center of New England development.
