Capaccio Environmental Engineering Inc., a Marlborough environmental, health and safety consulting company, has hired Geoffrey J. Gilbert and Jill Seifert Vernes.
Gilbert was hired as a senior environmental, health and safety scientist. He will be responsible for evaluating and implementing health and safety programs and trainings. He has more than 10 years of experience in the field, as a consultant serving construction, biotech, pharmaceutical and semiconductor industries. He previously worked as a senior project scientist at EBI Consulting.
Gilbert has a bachelor's degree in occupational safety studies from Keene State College.
Vernes will work as an environmental scientist, implementing environmental compliance, site assessment and remediation services and preparing air emission calculations and regulatory reporting. She previously worked as a project geologist with Delta Consultants in Framingham, managing environmental and remediation projects. She has a bachelor's degree in philosophy and a master's in earth sciences from Dartmouth College.
