With its latest addition, Marlborough-based 21st Century Biochemicals Inc. has officially doubled its space in little more than a year.
According to the company, construction of a 2,800-square-foot addition to its Cedar Hill Street space is now complete and brings the company’s total space to more than 17,000 square feet. Jordan Fishman, the company’s CEO, said 21st Century now has the capacity to produce more than 700 peptides per month.
The company makes custom peptides, reagents and antibodies for pharmaceutical companies, biotech companies and biomedical research laboratories.
According to Fishman, the company has grown 650 percent since 2004.
