CloudWave, a Marlborough company that says it’s the largest independent cloud and managed services software hosting provider in health care, has named a new member of its board of directors.
Derek Pickell, who serves as CEO and board director of CompuGroup Medical US in Arizona, has been appointed to CloudWave’s board, the company said in a Tuesday press release.
Pickell has an extensive knowledge of the healthcare market, strategy development, and business dynamics, and has experience managing the strategic direction, financial success, and operation performance of healthcare information technology and tech-enabled services, according to CloudWave.
CloudWave, which is a portfolio company of Boston equity firm Abry Partners, provides edge and cloud services to more than 250 healthcare organizations in six countries, according to the company. Its suite of offerings allow hospitals to deploy a multi-cloud strategy.
