The owner of sprinkler company A.J. Antico Irrigation Systems has purchased an 80,000-square-foot industrial building in Marlborough.
Anthony Antico purchased the building, on 6 acres of land, and an additional 12 acres adjacent to the property, for $2.9 million on Dec. 31, according to the Registry of Deeds.
According to Greater Boston Commercial Properties Inc., whose Benjamin Gatti represented the buyer in the sale, Antico plans to use the vacant property for a commercial development.
Antico plans to occupy 10,000 square feet of space with his company, the broker said. The seller, who owns used furniture company The Bottom Line Exchange, plans to lease 21,040 square feet of the building.
Other tenants in the building include Bunker Floor Supply, which occupies 25,000 square feet, and Mass Athletics LLC, which just leased 4,000 square feet for batting cages.
The seller, Clifford Schorer III, was represented by David Curley of O'Brien Commercial Properties.
