Marlborough agency to expand work program with $78K grant
The Health Foundation of Central Massachusetts has awarded a $78,000 grant to Marlborough-based Employment Options, which will allow the organization to expand its social enterprise program known as Catering Options.
Employment Options is a mental health workforce recovery agency that provides workforce training and job opportunities for people with mental illness. The organization operates two employment programs, including Cleaning Options as well as Catering Options.
The latter program offers catering services in the MetroWest area, providing professional training and work experience for people interested in culinary careers. Catering Options provides culinary certifications and some college credit for aspects of the culinary program. Money generated by the program helps fund other Employment Options programs too, the organization said.
